Safe Zone is a 2 part training for people who want to learn about the LGBTQ community and be a supportive ally at UCI. **You MUST register online and attend BOTH sessions.

Take Back the Night at the Flagpoles

Take Back the Night is a candlelight vigil and march to raise awareness about sexual violence and to honor survivors of such violence hosted by Campus Assault Resources and Education (CARE) and by the Gender Education Initiative.  The LGBTRC will have a table at Take Back the Night with information about dating violence in same-sex and queer relationships.

Thought Provoking Thursday at LGBTRC (G301 Student Center)

A conversation space to talk about the various ways we love and have relationships within the queer community.  

6-8 pm

National Day of Silence & Red Shirt Day at Student Center (under digital marquee)

The National Day of Silence is a movement to bring awareness to the silences that LGBTQA people face because of homophobia and heterosexism. Show your support for rainbow anteaters by taking a vow of silence and/or wearing a red shirt all day! NDOS buttons and pledge cards will be available in the LGBTRC or at the table on ring road. Join us for a group picture at noon.

Break the silence at Prom!  Come dance the night away with beats by DJ Sympon-X!  Co-hosted by Irvine Queers.
